Geely is distributed in New Zealand by NordEast Vehicle Distributors, part of Giltrap Group. A New Zealand family-owned business founded in 1966, Giltrap brings decades of experience importing, distributing and supporting leading automotive brands, including Porsche, Audi and Volkswagen.
Launched in 2025, NordEast became the world's first distributor to bring six Geely Group brands together: Geely, Volvo, Polestar, Lotus, ZEEKR and Farizon. It launched with 29 showrooms across 14 locations, combining the strength of a global automotive portfolio with Giltrap's local distribution experience and dealer relationships.

Geely develops technology that brings together electric power, energy efficiency and practical vehicle design.
Its Global Intelligent Electric Architecture, or GEA, underpins both the fully electric EX5 and the Starray EM-i plug-in hybrid. This is the engineering foundation that integrates the vehicle's structure, power systems and technology, with space, safety and efficiency considered together from the outset.

That expertise takes different forms across the range. The EX5 combines Geely's Short Blade Battery with a compact, integrated electric drive system.
